Issue invoices and transfer the right amount, without doing the math back and forth
A calculator for 7% VAT and withholding tax on marketing expenses. Calculate from the pre-VAT price, the VAT-inclusive price, or backwards from the net amount the payee should receive, plus a list of the documents you need to prepare.
Understand the basics and talking to your accountant gets easier
Before VAT. For example, a 10,000 THB service fee plus 700 THB VAT totals 10,700 THB. 3% withholding is 300 THB, so the actual transfer is 10,400 THB.
Generally no, because the provider is an overseas company that charges your card directly. But if your company is VAT-registered and has entered its tax ID in the ad account, receipts won't include Thai VAT and you must file P.P.36 to remit the 7% VAT yourself. If you pay through a Thai agency, withhold according to the service type on the invoice.
The payer must issue a withholding tax certificate (50 Tawi) to the payee and file the tax return (P.N.D.3 for individual payees or P.N.D.53 for juristic persons) by the 7th of the following month, or by the 15th if filing online.
Choose the "Net amount the payee receives" mode and enter the agreed amount. We'll work backwards to the pre-VAT price to put on the invoice, so after withholding the payee receives exactly the agreed amount.
Use them together to cover every part of your marketing plan
