Frequently Asked Questions

Resize Images for Every Ad Platform

What are the recommended Facebook ad image sizes?

The feed uses 1080×1080 (1:1) or 1080×1350 (4:5), which takes up more of the mobile screen. Stories and Reels use 1080×1920 (9:16); leave about 14% at the top and bottom free of important text, because buttons and the page name will cover it.

Why isn't my resized image sharp?

If the original is smaller than the target size, the image has to be enlarged, which makes it blurry. Use an original at least as wide as the largest size you choose, e.g. 1080px or more.

Should I choose "Crop to fill" or "Blurred background"?

If the image has lots of space around the subject, crop to fill looks fullest. If the image has text or details right up to the edges, like an infographic, use a blurred or solid background so nothing gets cut off.

Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. Images are processed only in your browser and no files are sent to a server, so it's safe for unreleased product photos.
