Beauty and dental clinics are among the businesses whose ads get rejected most often, because they have to pass two checkpoints at once. The first is the policies of platforms such as Meta and Google; the second is Thai law on healthcare facilities. Fail either one, and besides wasting budget, your ad account may also be restricted.

Checkpoint 1: Ad platform rules
Meta requires ads for cosmetic procedures to target people aged 18 and over, prohibits copy that makes viewers feel bad about their appearance, and bans wording that implies knowledge of viewers' personal attributes, such as “Do you have melasma?” Before-and-after images are banned in some categories, such as weight loss and anti-wrinkle treatments, and even where they're allowed, they carry a high risk of rejection.
“Are your teeth so yellow you're afraid to smile?” or “Is your skin so dull you don't want to leave the house?”
“Teeth whitening by a dentist, free consultation first” or “Skin care by a dermatologist, easy booking via LINE”
Checkpoint 2: Thai law
Under Section 38 of the Medical Facilities Act B.E. 2541 (1998), a healthcare facility that wants to advertise anything beyond the name and address on its licence must submit its copy, images and audio for approval before publication. In Bangkok, submissions go to the Department of Health Service Support (DHSS); in other provinces, to the Provincial Public Health Office. Content must not be exaggerated or misleading, such as “the best” or “100% cured,” and care is needed when having customers or influencers review treatment results on the clinic's behalf.
Tips for clinic ads that get approved and still sell
- 1Focus on credibility, such as the supervising doctor, equipment standards and cleanliness, instead of showing results
- 2Use messaging or LINE campaigns so your admin team can give in-depth information, rather than putting everything in the ad
- 3Prepare several approved creative sets and rotate them to reduce ad fatigue
- 4Complete business verification in Business Manager to reduce the risk of account restrictions
Summary
Clinics that can advertise consistently are the ones that plan content to pass both platform rules and the law from the start. It takes a little more preparation, but saves the time spent fixing banned accounts later. (This article is general information, not legal advice.
